this happened a bit ago with my hero 7 white and still does once in a while. Try plugging it into a laptop or something with a lower power output to charge it. When this happens I let it sit plugged into my pc overnight and try again in the morning. If the charging light is on your good to go.
Used Hero 7 Black at -25C on a snowmobile, 10 minutes of video before it froze, probably bacause of wind chill. Then I tried the diving case, just added another 5 minutes of life to the camera. Camera definitely needs some kind of other solution for winter filming. Expected to make some more footage

Hold the Gopro with the lens facing you , open the battery door and when all the way open the door should be at 90 degrees/perpendicular or ideally from what I have seen just past 90 degrees. Open the door fully open and with your thumb on the inside on the door gently bend, just a touch, then check the fit, if needs be bend a little bit more
All these batteries, in the GoPro Hero 5 do not have any issue. All these batteries, in the GoPro Hero 7, have the same problem after shortly recording something (from OFF state with Quick Capture) after few hours the battery is dead. The manual update I’ve already tried => no luck. I went back to the shop and explained the situation.
Also battery seems to be draining faster than i prepared myself for. Good thing i got 4 now. After having overheating issues every since purchasing my Hero 7 Black I have finally found the solution. Just a quick explanation of my issue. I never had any issues recording at 4K 60FPS on battery for long periods.
