mSATA to USB. Remove the HVAC controller, connectors, 8mm bolt and MMI unit from the car. Remove the three screws marked "H" in my picture on the bottom of the MMI and all the screws on top of the MMI. Pry the top off. Pay attention to what screws came from where. There are three different lengths of screws!

Whilst the diagnostic Machine is plug in you may as well see what fault codes flag up. As you may find the mmi needs a reset or has failed. If it does boot up but you haven't got a code Audi Step 6 – Reinstall MMI display. If there is a bit of overhang on the screen protector, trim it off with a razor so that the mounting bracket will fit over it. Then snap the mounting bracket back over the MMI display. Reconnect the MMI display electrical connectors and return the display to the dash. Tighten down the four Torx screws. You would have to change the Screen and the MMI in the glove box to get nav. Probably under other extreme conditions as well. There is a way to manually reboot the system by pressing three keys. Check your manually for the reboot sequence.
